What's included in an outdoor workshop?

A memorable, outdoor experience for your children to bring your topic to life!
2 hours of outdoor fun per class, all fully resourced by us - meaning the staff get to enjoy it as much as the children!
All activities are closely linked to the National Curriculum and delivered by qualified Primary Teachers to deepen your children's learning.
An affordable alternative to a trip with a half day visit (1 workshop) at £225 or a full day visit (2 workshops) at £375.

Our workshops enrich your curriculum and engage your children in their learning.

Less hassle than a trip - no need to book coaches for travel, no extra staff required for ratios
All risk assessments and resources are provided
Workshops are delivered in your own school grounds giving you a new insight into how to use your outdoor space.

We were teachers too, so we know that you need someone to come in and deliver an experience that will keep your children buzzing about their learning for the weeks ahead, whilst also keeping everything straightforward and simple for staff to organise too - so this is exactly the experience we aim for!

Where do you deliver the workshops?

Primary schools in Leeds, Wakefield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Selby, Huddersfield, Bradford, Burnely, Halifax, Harrogate, Wetherby & York.

We aim to make our workshops affordable for the children to enjoy and therefore only deliver them to areas local to our Education Officers. Schools located within 15 miles of one of our Officers will have travel included - additional milage will be charged at 45p per mile.

If you are located just outside of these areas, please still get in touch. During our quieter periods of the year we may be able to reach you.

HOW DO I BOOK?

Fill out the booking enquiry form with the required information.
We will email you back to organise the details and preferred date.
We then require a contact for the person responsible for fulfilling payment to confirm the booking.
They will receive an invoice and be asked to agree to our Payment & Cancellation Policy.
Once we’ve received this response your workshop is booked!

You can sit back and relax knowing that you and your class have a fantastic outdoor workshop to look forward to!

During our quieter periods you can save 10% on our workshops when you book for them to be delivered on these days.

It was great seeing the children work collaboratively and trying new things. Especially seeing children who work well outside, have a chance to shine. I loved seeing them getting muddy and having fun!

Who is Alfresco Learning?

We are an outdoor learning company founded by Hollie & Jenny, two primary teachers who developed an approach of combining the curriculum with the outdoors. Our outdoor workshops is where Alfresco Learning all began!

We visit schools each year spreading outdoor learning joy and inspiration to KS1 and our workshops will soon be expanding to KS2!
