Reception - All about me

Lines of enquiry covered:

• What do I enjoy about being outside?
• What do I have in common with my friends?
• How do I get ready to play outside?
• What experiences do I have of being outside at home?
• What is in our outdoor space?

Use this plan to give your children the opportunity to learn more about themselves, their outdoor environment and their own skills and interests. Each of these play ideas also offer adult-led learning opportunities to encourage practical exploration in your outdoors!

• Who is in my family?
• How can I help look after our outdoor space?
• What are my body parts called?
• What is it like where I live?

These outdoor activities give your children the opportunity to explore your outdoor space and discover more about themselves and their local area. All key questions and extension opportunities are detailed and resources needed have been kept to a minimum. It’s the perfect set of activities to use in September!
