We are looking for creative, experienced primary teachers to join The Alfresco Hub as freelance Curriculum Content Creators.
This role involves creating engaging, curriculum-linked outdoor lesson plans and activity ideas for primary teachers, helping schools take learning beyond the classroom in meaningful and accessible ways.
About the Role
As a Curriculum Content Creator, you will:
- Create high-quality outdoor learning lesson plans and resources linked to the National Curriculum
- Develop creative, practical ideas that teachers can realistically deliver within varying school settings
- Map out units of planning based on agreed project briefs
- Write content in line with The Alfresco Hub’s writing guidance and tone of voice
- Submit completed written content within agreed deadlines
- Make any requested edits within one week of feedback
Formatting and design will be handled by our team. Your focus will be on the planning, ideas, and written content itself.
Initial training and guidance will be provided to ensure all content aligns with The Alfresco Hub approach and expectations.
Current Areas of Interest
We are particularly looking for teachers with strengths or specialisms in:
- History
- RE
- EYFS
However, we are also open to other curriculum specialisms and areas of expertise. So please include them in your application.
What We’re Looking For
Applicants must:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching Primary-aged children outdoors
- Have excellent written communication skills
- Be able to create clear, engaging, teacher-friendly planning
- Understand curriculum expectations and progression
- Be highly organised and able to meet deadlines
- Be open to feedback and collaborative editing
- Be passionate about inclusive, creative outdoor learning
- Understand adaptive and inclusive teaching approaches
- Be able to create activities requiring minimal equipment and realistic school resources
Project Details
- Freelance / remote role
- £75 per completed project
- Typical turnaround: 2 weeks for initial submission
- Any requested edits to be returned within 1 week
- Flexible workload based on project availability and your availability
Required software – as a freelancer you will be required to provide your own access to this:
- A Gmail email address to access Google Meet, our shared folders on Google Drive and to write lesson plans on Google Docs.
- Access to Trello – You will be added to our team trello board to communicate and track projects.
